Crafty....

When I was in Grand Turk I saw these really cool flowers made out of soda bottles. They were hanging in a cute little shop as decoration. As soon as I saw then I thought "I could so do that!" I know...I know how many times do you think that and then never make it...well I decided I was going to make these and I did!

So save your soda bottles and start crafting! Here is how easy it was:

1. cut your bottle about 3inches from the top.

throw away the bottom...you don't need it.

2. Cut the top piece into a flower shape, it does not need to be perfect(flowers are all different sizes and shapes)

3. Now take the  petals and bend them back so they curl under towards the cap. Now you are ready to paint.

4. I used Making Memories acrylic paint but I am sure any brand acrylic would work.

5. Here is the finished flower.

Just hang them from some fishing line and you have a great garland...too cute huh??

Awesome weekend!!!

CKC was in Louisville this weekend! I love working the convention...I get to see our awesome customers from Archivers, I get to see all the vendors and I get to shop! What could be better???

Well let me tell you: This year Archiver's booth was directly across from the Studio Calico booth! If you are not familiar with Studio Calico you should be...check them out here and then come tell me how awesome you think they are!

Well, I got to hang with the wonderful owners April and Greg (their beautiful baby Claire) and with Lorie, and Kelly Purkey and Nicole Harper! That is like hanging with scrapbook celebrities!  They were awesome! They couldn't have been nicer people! All the more reason to love Studio Calico!

They even stopped in  Archivers after a very long weekend to check out the store!

Me with Kelly Purkey!

Wow! what an amazing trip!

After a very long day being at the mercy of Delta I am am home.....

I just spent the last week cruisin with cricut!! I am lucky enough to have a best friend that allowed me to tag along with her on the Provo Craft cruise! We had the best time ever and made some life long friends!
When I started scrapping 13 years ago I would have never imagined that this little hobby of mine could have opened so many doors and given me so many awesome friends!

As soon as we started our trip we ran into Shirley(aka Okieladybug) and her BFF Karen....what great friends they became!

I will be posting much more about the trip and more about the awesome job Provo Craft did for us....I have tons of photos to share and lots of projects we did on the cruise to share. Stay spinning with me, I even have some blog candy to share.

Long time no post....

Ok I realize I have been MIA but.....well I have no real excuse so lets just move on ok???

I decided to make an entry for this months circle challenge, I really have not done a whole lot since the holidays so it felt good to craft again.....the challenge was to make a banner with at least 3 cricut cuts on it. I used :

1. Gypsy Font for the L O V E which I then distressed stickled for dimension and added chunky glitter that.
2. Love struck for the hearts
3. Designers Calendar made the scalloped square that is the base.
4. Bloom had the scalloped circles that I used for the small florets (just fold 4 in half and glue the sides into a ball)

Over all I am pleased with how it turned out and think it looks great over the fireplace. I don't normally do alot of Valentines Day decorating but the little touch is kinda sweet. Let me know what you think, and I think I am back so stay tuned for more goodies!

Thanks for spinning with me again!
